Sunday, May 1, 2011

The 17th Edition of Marble 2011 - International Natural Stone and Technology Fair, which took place between March 23rd and 26th in the Turkish city of Izmir, once again saw the presence of ASC Turk Makina.

Considered the second largest global event in its sector, after Verona, in Italy, Marble exceeded all expectations this year in exhibitor and visitor numbers.

According to the organization, the trade show spanned an area of over 2 million square feet at the Izmir Culture Park and saw the participation of a total of 1,160 companies, among which 265 were Turkish and 895 were from abroad, originating from 42 different countries. Visitor numbers exceeded 55 thousand.

ASC Turk Makina's participation was also quite positive.

During the event’s four days, the company, which exhibited its products in an area with over 4,300 square feet, sold three wheel loaders (two L220G loaders and one L180G loader) and three excavators (two EC360C excavators and one EC460C excavator). In turn, the sales teams - sales and after-sales - signed several CareTrack and VISA (Volvo Advanced Service Level Agreements) contracts and agreements, and established a number of contacts with future buyers.

David Alström, Manager of Product Management for Volvo Construction Equipment, who traveled from Sweden specifically to attend Marble 2011, led a training session on the new Series G wheel loaders, in which the sales teams, sales directors, the training department and marketing department of ASC Turk Makina participated.

ASC Turk Makina aims to have a turnover of 200 million Euros this year.
