Quality and Environmental Certifications (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)

In the development of its technical service activity for machinery and trucks, we maintain certification of our Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), which establish a set of principles and guidelines aimed at continuous improvement, control of environmental impacts, and strict compliance with regulatory obligations.

Quality, Environmental and Safety Requirements for Suppliers and Subcontractors

All service providers and subcontracted companies carrying out work for Ascendum companies in Portugal must obligatorily commit to complying with the rules listed below:

1. Quality

  • Comply with the applicable legislation for the product or service provided, including company and technical qualifications, where applicable or required.
  • Ensure the quality of the product/service provided.
  • Meet the agreed delivery deadlines.
  • Provide technical and after-sales assistance when necessary and applicable.

2. Safety

  • It is mandatory to comply with all applicable legislation related to the service provided, with special attention to aspects concerning Safety, Hygiene and Health at Work, and Environmental Protection.
  • It is mandatory to inform the local Responsible Person of the start and end of the service (when carried out on Ascendum premises).
  • It is strictly forbidden to drive at speeds above 10 km/h on our premises. Construction equipment has priority over any other vehicle.
  • The use of personal protective equipment appropriate to the service provided is mandatory, as well as continuous training of the Technician in question. This training must be recorded and, when requested, made available.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside our premises.
  • All work-related incidents/accidents that occur during the provision of services on our premises must be reported.
  • When applicable, it is mandatory to present the Professional Aptitude Certificate (CAP).

3. Environment

Gaseous Emissions

  • The good condition of vehicles and equipment must be ensured in order to minimize emitted gases.

Waste

  • The waste generated on our premises is the responsibility of the company providing the service, which must ensure its proper management in accordance with the Environmental Legislation in force. Documentation proving this must be provided.
  • Service providers are not permitted to engage in any waste burning or abandonment practices.

Environmental Accidents

  • The good condition of vehicles and equipment must be ensured to prevent spills.
  • Whenever an environmental accident occurs (spill, fire outbreak, water leak), it must be immediately reported to the local Responsible Person of the respective Business Unit.

Noise

  • The good condition of vehicles and equipment must be ensured to avoid excessive noise.
  • Avoid unnecessary noise (honking, sudden acceleration, etc.).
  • All equipment used outdoors must comply with noise emission regulations (CE marking and declaration of conformity).

Chemical Products

  • The Safety Data Sheets for all chemical products used on our premises must be provided.
  • Chemical product containers must be properly labeled.
  • Chemical product containers must remain closed after use.

Consumption of Water, Energy and Fuels

  • The consumption of these resources must be minimized as much as possible. Situations such as unnecessarily running equipment, open taps, or visible leaks must not occur.

The selection and evaluation of suppliers is based on the following criteria: Quality/Price ratio, Delivery time, Flexibility in orders, Technical and After-Sales Support, and Environmental Certification.
