The Valtra G Series remains one of the best tractor ranges in the 100–145 hp segment.

The new Valtra G Series CVT Active has been awarded the prestigious Tractor of the Year (TOTY) 2026 title in the Utility category. This recognition reinforces Valtra’s commitment to innovation, ease of use and versatility in the 100–145 hp segment.

Presented at Agritechnica 2025, the new G Series CVT model introduces the long-awaited continuously variable transmission (CVT) to the popular G Series. The G Series tractor displayed at Agritechnica features a special finish hand-painted by internationally acclaimed artist Stilbruch Lack, and tyres by Trelleborg.

Developed and manufactured by AGCO, the CVT transmission integrates a single operating range from 0 to 40 km/h, making operation exceptionally straightforward. All CVT models are equipped with Load Sensing hydraulics to ensure efficient performance. The CVT transmission also contributes to fuel efficiency by maintaining low engine speeds without compromising productivity. It operates on the EcoPower principle, already proven in Valtra’s Q and S Series tractors — as a result, separate EcoPower models are no longer required in the G Series CVT lineup.

Designed for intuitive operation, the CVT models offer smooth starts and stops, easy access via wide aluminium steps, exceptional visibility and seamless integration of Valtra’s advanced precision farming solutions.

The Valtra G Series has been collecting awards for several years: since its launch in 2020, it has earned distinctions including the FARM MACHINE 2022 Award in the Utility category, the iF DESIGN AWARD 2021 in the Product Design category, the Red Dot Award 2021 in the Product Design category, and the Tractor of the Year 2021 Award in the Utility category.

João Pimenta, General Manager of Ascendum’s Agro Business, highlights the significance of this achievement: “Winning the Tractor of the Year 2026 in the Utility category is a great source of pride for Valtra and for our customers. This recognition reflects Valtra’s drive to make farming simpler, smarter and more sustainable, and confirms that the G Series continues to be the best tractor in the 100 to 145 hp segment.”

The distinction reinforces a focus on operator comfort, precision farming and sustainability. With features such as Load Sensing hydraulics, EcoPower principles for greater fuel efficiency and modular option packages, Valtra states that the G Series CVT delivers the best balance between productive capacity and acquisition investment.

Valtra extends its gratitude to the TOTY jury for recognising the G Series CVT as a benchmark in the Utility tractor segment.
