Who we are

Ascendum is a multinational corporation with family roots headquartered in Portugal. Founded in 1959, it is present in 14 geographies and has approximately 1,400 employees across the globe. In 2015, it had a turnover of 821 M€ resulting from its activity of supplying Construction and Industrial Equipment, Infrastructure Equipment, Cars and Trucks, as well as the respective technical assistance, and providing equipment for rent, and logistics.

Present in Portugal, Spain, the United States, Turkey, Mexico, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Moldova, Ascendum today is one of the largest global distributors of Volvo Construction Equipment.

Inserted throughout the Automotive sector’s entire value chain, Ascendum has an extensive and quality portfolio of premium products and brands, with application in industries as diverse as construction and public works, extractive and transformation, handling/logistics, agriculture, forestry, recycling, demolition and earthmoving, energy, etc.
